All of our doors are built with layered steel and an insulated core. Every door is 100% customizable to fit virtually any size opening, color combination, and window placement. All of our window frames are made of painted steel, making the frame much more resistant to fading and cracking.

Our most requested door, commercial or residential weathered steel will go with your rustic or modern home. Made from three layers of heavy steel, these doors offer a rich and rustic patina only mother nature can provide.

Our doors are shipped pre-rusted and don’t require additional maintenance or finish. Steelhead Doors' weathering steel panel is constructed by hand from A606 steel.

Handcrafted in Montana using 22-gauge steel, we rust each panel by hand creating the steel to super outer space finishes resulting in unique panels that feel more like art than function. You'll be dazzled every time you pull into your driveway.

Our proprietary practice of accelerating the rusting process controls the rate of corrosion, which means the door doesn't need to be painted. Each panel is truly a unique piece of art.

A606 steel is specifically engineered to create a protective layer of rust shielding its core substrate. Like all Steelhead Doors products, we use only the best quality materials. We don’t use cold roll steel for our doors because it is not a true weathering product and will cause problems down the road. Rather, we use the more expensive substrates of A606 type-4 steel and 22-gauge A606.

Modern smooth panel

The perfect fit for your new modern home, or an upgrade to your existing contemporary design, these doors can be manufactured in almost any color, window, and size combination.

We don’t use any embossed metal on our smooth panel doors. This door is made with completely smooth metal and powder-coated paint with a very light texture for depth and enhanced color.

Glass-panel garage

Clear or frosted glass will make your home a showpiece – no matter what’s inside the garage. Choose many frame colors and window sizes to transform your home’s garage, loft partition, or patio door. Control the degree of light and privacy with Smart Glass. Insulated glass is available for energy efficiency.

Our full-view door is made with 24- gauge steel, and includes a 2-1/8-inch thermal core and a thermal break. All windows are made with durable XT window technology making them safe and secure. We offer clear and opaque coloring.

Old barnwood doors

We also build handcrafted barnwood doors from wood that is up to 200 years old. These pieces are overlayered on a fully insulated steel door that we also manufacture. This allows us to keep our prices lower than almost any other maker of this type of door.

Smart Glass

Switched on or switched off — Smart Glass goes from transparent to opaque with the flick of a switch, providing privacy on demand. Switchable PDLC film is applied to the existing glass while the switchable glass is installed just like regular glass.
